When we go out to eat, one of our favorite places is a local Mexican restaurant.  I really could order just chips and salsa and be happy.  They are my favorite, and I am sure lots of people feel the same way!  I never really like buying tortilla chips for home, they just aren't the same.
So one day my husband wanted to try to make them. We have corn tortillas on hand, so we cut them and put them in the deep fryer.  They are great!
If you like the Cheesecake Factory, it is like their nacho chips. If you haven't had their nachos, just know you are missing out! But now, you can make these at home and load them with the toppings of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • Corn tortillas
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt (coarse)

Directions:

  • Heat oil to 350
  • Cut tortilla into desired shape
  • Place in fryer and fry until golden
  • Place on paper towel lined plate and sprinkle salt while they are still hot
