Remoulade Dressing

This dressing is so New Orleans to me.  The flavors, and the kick.  You can go to restaurants down there and they serve it as dressing, dip for appetizers, seafood and sandwiches.

My mother in law gave me a recipe for this years ago.  I have changed it up to our liking and hope you enjoy too.

  • 1 1/2cups mayonaise

  • 1/3 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp louisiana hot sauce or tabasco

  • 1 tsp sweet relish

  • 2 tsp slap ya mama

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1/4 cup creole mustard

  • 2 tsp horseradish

  • 2-3 tbsp green onions

Mix all ingredients up really well, and serve!
You can change this up to your liking.  You can add bell peppers. I've added red roasted bell peppers and loved it. You can add some celery for an extra crunch.  My brother grows his own tabasco peppers and adds them to this dressing. Add as little or many as you'd like according to your taste. A little squeeze of a lemon is great too!

Start with just 1tsp of slap ya mama so you can watch the salt content.
