This was floating around Facebook for a while before my mother-in-law sent it to me.  She tried it and changed a few things, and then we tried it and started changing a few things.
It is really simple to put together, and the cheesy goodness brings a little something different than a traditional spaghetti dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb angel hair pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp ground oregano
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 28 oz whole peeled tomatoes in juice
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes in juice
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Red pepper flakes to sprinkle on top

Directions:

  • Boil spaghetti noodles according to directions
  • While they are boiling, place the cream cheese in a bowl, cube it up
  • When the noodles are done, put them in the bowl with the cream cheese and toss it around to coat all the noodles
  • In a pan, brown your ground beef
  • Add the onions and bell pepper while browning
  • When almost done browning, put in the oregano, basil, salt, pepper
  • Cook meat until done
  • Add tomato sauces
  • Add sugar
  • Adjust any seasonings according to taste
  • Add ricotta to the noodle bowl
  • Add parmesan to the noodle bowl
  • Toss around really good
  • Add some of the spaghetti sauce and toss it around
  • Layer the noodle mixture on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish
  • Layer it about half way and pour half the sauce on top
  • Layer the other half of noodles and top it off with sauce
  • Cover and bake on 350 for about 40 minutes
  • If you want to top it with mozzarella, take it out and put the cheese on top, put it back in the oven uncovered for about 10 minutes
