sweet potato casserole with canned yams
Y'all wanna talk about secrets? I'm going to let you in on a big one.
I always made sweet potato dishes with actual sweet potatoes. Then one day, I really want some sweet potatoes and really didn't want to sit there peeling them all up and cutting them. I hate cutting sweet potatoes. Hate. So, I decided canned yams were going to be welcomed into my life. And there they were! Heaven. Why do people have a problem using these things?! I thought they were just as good. And for being just as good, why not skip out on all the freaking work! I'm game.
Ingredients: *Makes large 13x9 casserole
2 29oz cans and 1 16oz can of Yams
3 sticks of butter
3 cups of brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
