Is there anything better than a big ole bowl of chicken noodle soup when you are sick? Do we even have to be sick to enjoy this soup? I don't think so, although I only make it when we are sick, ha!
Not long ago I got really sick. So sick I didn’t eat for a few days and when I did I wanted soup. Well, I had to eat that can crap, and let me tell ya how not happy I was! It was awful. So when I got up and back on my feet, first thing I did was make some soup. It doesn’t even compare y’all. Make it!

For boiling chicken:
1 whole chicken- 4-5lbs
Water
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp salt
Boil chicken in this mixture until it is completely cooked
The longer you can boil it, the better the broth will be
Add to broth mixture:
1 tsp ground thyme
1/2 tsp ground oregano
1 32oz container of chicken broth
2 cups onions, diced
3 cups carrots, cut into small coins
2 cups celery, diced
Extra large egg noodles (Since I make a really large pot, I usually put the entire 16oz of the bag, but you can put as much or little as you want)
Directions:
In a large stock pot, place your chicken and seasonings, cover with water until the chicken is submerged
Boil until completely done, or boil for as long as your time allows
Add water as needed
The longer you boil, the richer and more tasty your broth will be
Once done boiling the chicken, remove the chicken from the broth
If you are unable to allow it to simmer and need more liquid, this is when you add the container of broth
Add all the chopped veggies and remaining seasonings
Add noodles and allow them to boil until soft
Shred chicken and place back into the broth
Serve!
