Richard’s halloween

Bloody Toes and Ghosts!

It’s almost Halloween, y’all!

I have partnered with Richard’s Cajun Sausage to bring you an easy and fun dinner to make with your family, especially those kiddo’s!

It is such a fun season to get in the kitchen with your children, but most of the fun goodies to make with them are full of sugar. So, I have created this cute little platter for you to make with the kids in no time. You can make it before you go trick or treating. People of all age will get a kick out of this all while enjoying some yummy bites!

Richard’s is the original Cajun sausage company in Church Point, and you can tell in the flavor!

Ingredients:

Richard’s Smoked Cajun Sausage (The short ones)

White American Cheese (or any white cheese)

Sliced black olives

BBQ sauce

Directions:

Take Richard’s smoked sausage (Hot and mild), split them in half and then cut them in half as well.

Cute White American Cheese into cubes

Size them so you have squares for your toenails and longer rectangles for your ghosts

Heat grill (You can easily do this in a hot pan- preferable cast iron or one that sears well)

Place them on the hot grill

Flip once seared

Flip back so that the flat side is down on the grill

Place cheese on top of sausages

For the toes, you want the square of cheese at the top of the sausage

For the ghosts, the cheese should cover most of the sausage halve

Carefully remove from grill

Allow them to cool a little

Cut the olives into shapes you’d like for eyes and mouths

Place the olives into the cheese- you may need to press just slightly

Arrange on platter with BBQ sauce

How can you make this a “whole” meal?:

Make a veggie bar with it

Carrots, Broccoli, Tomatoes- don’t forget the dip!

Fruits

Apple slices, pears, blueberries, strawberries

A big ole salad!
