white beans with sausage

And, to top if off budget friendly. Can’t really go wrong here! These beans are so amazingly creamy to the max. Welcome someone home with these tonight!

1 lb white beans (northern beans or navy)
1 lb smoked sausage
Rice for serving
1 tsp salt
2 tsp slap ya mama
2.5 tsp chopped rosemary
Olive Oil
Water/or chicken broth
Soak beans over night
Slice sausage into thin rounds
Heat pan
Pour olive oil in the pan
Add sausage and cook them until a bit brown on each sides
Add beans and seasonings
Add water/chicken broth until beans are covered by 2 inches or so
Bring to a boil and then knock the heat down so they continue to simmer
Continue to check the water level, always keep it above the beans and stir so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of your pan
I like to cook for a long time, I want my beans soft and my liquid creamy. This can take up to 3-4 hours.
