This is so simple it's almost embarrassing to say that I use jar marinara sometimes.
As simple as the ingredients are, you may think it won't make a difference in the taste of your pizza, but you couldn't be more wrong!
It makes your pizza taste so authentic. The most important part of this sauce is to use really good quality ingredients, I've listed the brands I use, but feel free to use your best judgement!
- 28 oz tomato puree (I like Mutti Brand)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil (Partanna Brand)
- 1/2 cup water
- Heat all ingredients in pot and let it simmer down
- Spread over pizza dough and cook accordingly
