Creamy lemon shrimp dip


This Emeril inspired recipe is like an easy version of a shrimp mold. Shrimp mold isn’t hard, but there are a few steps. After you cook the shrimp, all that is left is adding the ingredients. I like this one because it is so easy to spread on crackers or toast.

1/2-1lb shrimp peeled and deveined (keep them whole or chop, I kept mine whole for the picture but usually like to cut them in half- if the shrimp are 16/20 count)
1 tbsp butter
8 oz cream cheese softened
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
zest from 1/2 lemon
1/2 tbsp slap ya mama cajun hot sauce
1 tbsp Slap Ya Mama
Juice from 1 lemon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, more to taste

In a saucepan, heat butter
Cook shrimp and add the tbsp slap ya mama seasoning
Cook shrimp until pink
Add the cream cheese and turn off the heat
Mix well until lumps are gone
Add all other ingredients
