Coffee bread pudding with coffee cream sauce, southern pecan

Makes 6-9 servings

Bread mixture ingredients:
4.5 cups cubed stale french bread
4 large eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tbsp vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Southern Pecan flavored coffee from Parish Coffee
Cream Mixture:
4 tbsp Southern Pecan flavored coffee from Parish Coffee
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and butter a 8x11 baking pan
Whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, heavy cream and coffee together in a large bowl
Cut up the bread in cubes and place it in the egg mixture
Allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the liquid
Pour mixture into the baking dish
Cook for about 35-40 minutes, until set in the middle
Sauce:
Heat the cream, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan on high heat
Whisk for 3 minutes
Dissolve the cornstarch with the coffee
Whisk in coffee mixture
Cook until thickened
Drizzle on top of cut slices of bread pudding

Serve!

Let’s mix! Eggs, heavy cream, coffee, brown sugar, salt and vanilla.

Mix and soak! Mix and soak! Mix and soak!

Spray your pan and pour it in. Smash, smush, punch and smack it! All for good measure, of course.

Time to make the sauce: Heavy cream, sugar, coffee and cornstarch.

Stir, don’t burn!
