So do you all buy flap steak? I am a newbie at that cut of meat, but quickly a fan.
I have been grilling it on high heat, really fast and keep it at a medium, more rare temp.
It makes for perfect fajitas or nachos.
3.5 lbs flap steak
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne (more to taste)
In a small bowl, mix all the spice ingredients
Rub it all over the flap steak and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes minimum- up to 30 minutes.
I put all my burners on a medium high heat
Give each side of the flap steak a good sear until you have reached the desired temp
Slice thin and serve as fajitas or nachos
