Crazy Good Skillet Thighs

Oh y'all.  This dish is sure to make any breast lover turn into a thigh lover.  I always used to eat breast. White meat, it's supposed to be so healthy for you. Well, I'm over all that nonsense. What I am not over, is having tasty, juicy, amazing chicken. Come over to the dark side! 



  • 8 Chicken Thighs

  • 2tbsp slap ya mama cajun seasoning

  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tbsp parsley

  • 1/2 tbsp blackened seasoning

  • 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning 

  • 1/2 tbsp Mrs Dash garlic herb seasoning

  • Juice from 2 lemons 

  • avocado oil (or oil of choice) 


  • Squeeze lemon juice into a bowl

  • Add all other ingredients, except for avocado oil and chicken thighs

  • Using a large enough skillet to fit all thighs, oil the bottom of the skillet with avocado oil or oil of your choice

  • One by one, dip the thigh into the mixture and lay them in the skillet, skin side UP

  • When all thighs are laid out, pour any leftover mixture on top of chicken

  • Cook for 45 minutes on 350

  • Check the internal temp (Should be about 185) 

  • Broil for 10 minutes to crisp up the skin
