Instant Pot Mac-n-Cheese

It has taken me a while to not be intimidated by my instant pot, y'all.  I bought it originally to make yogurt. That's what I was really excited for. Have I made yogurt in it? Nope! But I have made this macaroni and it sure is delicious.

  • 1lb elbow macaroni
  • 4cups water
  • 4tbsp butter
  • 2tsp salt
  • 1tsp pepper
  • 1 1/4cup heavy cream
  • 16oz your favorite cheeses. I use a blend of sharp cheddar and colby cheese. 


  1. Place the first 5 ingredients in your instant pot. 
  2. Lock the lid and seal, press manual for 5 minutes 
  3. Do the manual release 
  4. Take the lid off and pour in the cream and cheese 
  5. MIX! 

How easy is that? The best part of it all, this is truly a great macaroni! It is still creamy and has so much cheesy goodness that you expect.
