4 Cheese Bacon Mac-n-Cheese

Hey Macaroni! We meet again.  One can never have too much macaroni, right? That's what my family believes anyway.  
This macaroni came about when we did family date night at a local steakhouse.  My kids naturally ordered the macaroni, and it had bacon in it.  They loved it.  Then I heard those horrible words "Mommy, I might like this better than your macaroni." What! I had to learn how to make it. Now they say this one is way better, and I'd like to believe it's true.



  • 1/2 stick butter 

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 2.5 cups milk

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup cooked chopped bacon

  • 1/2 tsp pepper 

  • 1/2 tsp slap ya mama cajun seasoning 

  • 1/4 tsp ground mustard 

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar 

  • 1/2 cup parmesan 

  • 1/2 cup of romano/asiago blend 

  • 8oz penne pasta 


  • Boil 8oz penne pasta according to directions- strain and set aside when done 

  • Melt the 1/2 stick butter

  • Add the flour and cook it for a few seconds 

  • Slowly add the heavy cream and mix around

  • Slowly add the milk and mix around so it will not lump up 

  • Add the seasonings and mix well 

  • Add all the cheeses 

  • Add the noodles

  • If it is too thick, thin it out with more milk
